Donna Childs, President of Donna Childs Consultants LLC, adds 25 years executive management and leadership expertise to your portfolio. Coming from a nationally recognized organization, she is known for building, branding and achieving breakthrough results. She has an uncommon ability to see the big picture and understand what needs to happen to get the business performance to the next level.

Donna Childs Consultants works with small businesses and associations to help them achieve their business goals. Strategic growth, aligning goals with people and processes, and generating results are her hallmarks.


She is the retired president and chief executive officer of the Better Business Bureau of Dayton/Miami Valley. She oversaw all aspects of running a progressive business and helping other businesses do business better. Under her leadership it grew from $400K to $1.4M with double digit profits annualized and high market penetration and customer satisfaction.

 

She has extensive experience in strategic planning,  leadership, organizational development, commmunications, customer issues, and change management.

As a speaker and facilitator, Childs delivers powerful presentations on leadership and trust, strategic planning, team building, and organizational development. She has facilitated strategic planning and multi-day case studies/workshops on crisis management and change on a national level.

Childs has a master’s degree in management from Antioch University McGregor and a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Kentucky. She has a Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives and has a Certified Project Management certificate from Xavier University. She is an adjunct professor at Wright State University where she teaches organizational leadership.

 

She received the Excellence in Association Leadership honor from the American Society of Association Executives and the Silver Medal from the American Advertising Federation. From the Council of Better Business Bureaus honors include Excellence in Overall Communications, Outstanding Membership Development, Outstanding Overall Operations, and awards for innovation and service excellence. She received many IABC and PRSA awards over the years.

 

She serves as president of the board of directors of the Greater Dayton Ad Association, is on the steering committee for Christian Marketplace Network - Dayton Region, and co-chairs the new member committee and is a board member for the Rotary Club. She is a graduate of the Leadership Dayton program where she served as president of the alumni association as well as other board and committee positions. She served on the Executive Section Council and on the Ethics Committee of the American Society of Association Executives. She served as president of the Ohio Association of Better Business Bureaus and on the board of directors of United Way and on many of its committees.
